Keep walking.
Little Walks reads your steps from Apple Health and shows the pace you need to reach 10,000 by your chosen goal time.
Getting started
Start with Sign in with Apple, then choose a username. Step sharing starts off and is optional. Set your goal time and allow Little Walks to read Steps in Apple Health. The Team Creator plan is optional: choose Continue with Solo to finish setup for free. Your private Solo team is always available in Teams.
Signing in does not turn on step sharing or start a subscription. Your personal walking data, hourly history, and longest-streak award stay on your device. Turn on step sharing in Teams if you want to enter worldwide Solo rankings or join a team.
My steps aren’t showing
Make sure your iPhone has step data in Apple Health and that Little Walks can read Steps. To check access, open Health, tap your profile, then Apps → Little Walks → Steps. Open Today in Little Walks and pull down to refresh. If Today shows Waiting for today's steps, tap Try again after Apple Health records new steps. Apple Health may not show a new walk immediately, and an empty reading can also occur when read access is unavailable. Little Walks cannot tell those cases apart, so it does not turn a missing reading into a measured zero. If a saved reading from today is available, the app keeps it visible with its original update time while waiting for a new reading.
My widget looks out of date
The widget shows the last step count the app saved. Open Little Walks to refresh your steps. iOS controls when the widget redraws, so it may update later than the app.
How do streaks work?
A day counts when you reach at least 10,000 steps anytime before local midnight. Your goal time affects today’s pace; it does not change which days count toward a streak.
Teams and invitations
Sign in with Apple and choose a username during setup. Solo is free, and you can keep your walks private with step sharing off. If you turn sharing on, your username and shared round step totals appear in the worldwide Solo ranking automatically. Sharing is also required to join teams. You can belong to one team in each size from two to ten walkers. Open an invite link or enter a code in Teams, preview the team, and confirm joining for free. No commissioner approval is needed. A full team appears in its size division's current-round standings.
If Little Walks is not installed, the invite page offers an App Store link. After installing, return to that page and tap Open, or open the invite link again, to keep the invitation.
With sharing on, Today shows your Solo and team placements and shared round steps. Rankings compares Solo walkers worldwide and full teams of the same size over a day, week, month, or year. Previous day and All time are also available. To see a team's size division, you must belong to a team in that size. Competition periods use UTC, and weeks start on Monday. Your personal goal follows your local day, so its total can differ near day boundaries. Placement trends show recorded daily ranks over week or month windows. Historical rankings can change when devices send delayed readings, past totals are corrected, or sharing changes.
Rewards shows your daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly first-place win counts for Solo and each team-size division. A win needs a completed competition, a positive score, and at least two eligible walkers or teams; tied first places count. Team winners must contribute steps and be on the closing roster, and team awards require available ranking history for the full period. Your personal longest-streak award uses local days with at least 10,000 steps and does not require step sharing. The 3D awards grow with your earned counts, slowly rotate, and tilt with phone movement. Reduce Motion keeps direct manipulation available without automatic motion.
Team Creator
Little Walks is free to download. Personal tracking, Solo, and joining an invited team are free. A Team Creator subscription is optional. To create teams and send new invitations, choose Team Creator for $1.00/month or $10.00/year in the United States. Both plans include the same features, and one subscription covers your creator account across your teams. The App Store price in your currency is shown before purchase. There is no charge for each team or invited walker.
If your subscription ends, your existing teams, memberships, and standings remain available. You need an active subscription to create another team or send a new invitation. Existing valid invites can still be accepted for free.
Open Settings to manage or cancel through Apple. Cancelling stops the next renewal; access continues through your paid period. To restore on another iPhone, use the same Apple Account for purchases and the same Sign in with Apple account in Little Walks, then choose Restore Purchases. Switching monthly and yearly plans takes effect at the next renewal.
If products cannot load or a purchase cannot be verified, try again with an internet connection. A pending purchase does not unlock creator tools until Apple approves it. Contact support if a confirmed purchase is not restored.
Stop sharing or delete an account
Open Settings from the top of the app. Stop sharing steps removes shared totals and all team memberships. Delete account removes your profile and shared totals. Your personal Apple Health records remain on your device. Deleting an account does not cancel Apple billing; manage your subscription before deleting to stop renewals. You can still delete immediately. A minimal purchase-ownership record is retained without Health or team data so you can restore with the same Apple sign-in.
Change or stop reminders
When enabled, reminders for the current day are scheduled after Little Walks receives your first steps. iOS may deliver step updates later than the walk itself. Open Little Walks, tap Settings, and turn Progress reminders off to stop them. You can also manage notification permission in iOS Settings.
